Parallax Cloud builds and deploys your site automatically every time you push to a connected GitHub repository. You can use it at cloud.parallax.kr.

Which account do I sign in with?

Your Parallax account. Email, Google and Apple sign in are all available, and the account you already use on parallax.kr works as is. If you do not have one yet, you can sign up right on cloud.parallax.kr.

How do I make my first deployment?

  1. After signing in, open New project and click Connect GitHub.
  2. On GitHub, install the Parallax Cloud GitHub App and give it access to the repositories you want to deploy.
  3. In the repository list, click Import next to the repository you want to deploy.
  4. On the Configure project screen, check the project name, the production branch, the framework and the build settings. Add any environment variables you need here as well.
  5. Click Deploy and your first deployment starts right away.

From then on, every push to the production branch deploys to production automatically, and pushing to any other branch or opening a pull request creates a preview deployment.

Do private or organization repositories work?

Yes. Private repositories can be imported as long as the GitHub App has access to them. For organization repositories, an organization admin has to approve the app installation. If you have requested approval, connect again once it has been approved.

If a repository you want is missing from the list, click Configure repository access on GitHub and allow access to it. To connect another GitHub account or organization, click Add GitHub account.

Which frameworks are supported?

We read your repository's package.json to detect the framework and fill in the build command and output folder for you. The following presets are available.

  • Next.js (Static Export), Vite, Create React App, Astro, SvelteKit (adapter-static), Nuxt (generate), Gatsby, Vue CLI, Angular, Docusaurus
  • Other (runs the build script in package.json)
  • Static files (uploads the repository files as they are, with no build)

Parallax Cloud serves static output only (SSG and SPA). Serverless functions, server side rendering (SSR), API routes and middleware are not supported. For Next.js, next.config must include output: 'export'.

What addresses do I get when I deploy?

Every project gets one free default address.

  • Production: project-id.parallax.kr
  • Branch preview: project-id--branch-name.parallax.kr (the latest deployment of that branch)
  • Per deployment address: each deployment also gets its own address, shown on the deployment details screen.

The project ID is created from the project name you first choose. It is converted to lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and if the name is already taken a few random characters are added to the end. Because the project ID is part of your addresses, it cannot be changed later. Characters in branch names such as / or capital letters are turned into hyphens and lowercase letters to fit the address.

Preview addresses are kept out of search engines.

Does it cost anything?

On the free plan you can deploy up to 3 projects. Your plan sets the number of projects, deployments per day, concurrent builds, the build timeout and the number of custom domains. For the full limits, see Plan limits, access tokens and projects.

If you need help

Open a support request, choose Parallax Cloud as the service, and include the project name (or project ID), the address or ID of the affected deployment and the error message you saw. Never include access tokens or secret environment variable values in your request.
