Creating a character

You can build your own character to keep to yourself or publish. Start from Create a soulmate in the sidebar.

Choosing a type

• Single character: you talk one to one with one figure.
• Multi character: several figures appear in one conversation. Each gets its own personality, images and lorebook.

The type cannot be changed once registered, so choose carefully at the start.

The settings tabs

Tab	What goes in it
Basic info	Name, introduction, main language, work title
Opening setup	The first scene and a description of the situation
Personality	Tone, disposition, rules the character must follow
Character assets	Profile image and scene images
AI settings	The model to use and generation options
Affinity	Affinity stages and what changes at each one
Lorebook	The world, relationships, and notes to consult when certain words come up

Work in progress is saved as a draft, so you can close the window and carry on later.

Auto-generation and translation

You can auto-generate empty fields from what you have already written in the other tabs. Note that it overwrites anything already entered.

There is also a translate feature that converts what you have written into another language in one pass. Both auto-generation and translation use credits.

Before you publish

• Try the opening exchange yourself in preview. An awkward opening setup makes the whole conversation awkward.
• For personality, stating the rules to follow clearly works better than writing at length.
• Depictions that identify a real person, or anything against our policy, may be restricted from publication.

Creator profile

To publish a character, create a creator profile first. Published characters are collected on your creator page, and you can keep editing their settings after registering.
