How do I upload files?

There are two ways.

  • Drag files anywhere onto the page. They go into the folder you have open.
  • Press the New button and choose File upload.

Progress shows in the upload panel at the bottom right, and you can stop a file that is still uploading with Cancel upload. Uploads run in your browser, so keep the tab open until they finish.

How big a file can I upload?

Up to 10GB per file. Large files are sent in pieces, so they carry on uploading if your connection drops briefly. If you upload several files at once, any file that would go over your remaining space is not uploaded and is flagged in the upload panel.

What happens if I upload a file with the same name again?

Uploading a file with the same name into the same folder replaces it, and the file as it was before is kept in Version history. Each file keeps up to its 5 most recent versions.

To see earlier versions, select the file and open the details panel on the right, then look under Version history. You can use Download this version to download a version, or Restore this version to go back to it.

How do I organise folders?

  • Create one with New and then New folder.
  • Open a file or folder's menu (⋮ or right click) and choose Rename, Move or Delete.
  • Hold Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) or Shift while clicking to select several items and move or delete them together.

Names cannot contain / or \, and a folder cannot hold two items with the same name. Use the buttons above the file list to switch between list view and grid view.

Which files can I preview?

Images (including HEIC), video, audio, PDF and text or code files can be previewed right in your browser. In the preview, use the ← and → keys to move to the previous or next file.

If you see "No preview available for this file.", the format is not supported or the file is too large to preview. Download it and open it on your device.

Can I download several files at once?

Yes. Select several files and press Download to get them as a single ZIP file. Folders cannot be downloaded as a whole yet, so select the files inside the folder and download those.

How do I share a file with someone?

Choose Share from a file's menu to create a public download link.

  1. Pick when the Link expires: 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or Never expires.
  2. If you want, set a Download limit of 1 or more. Leave it empty for unlimited downloads.
  3. Press Create link and copy and the link is copied to your clipboard.

Anyone with the link can download the file without signing in. For sensitive files, keep the expiry short and set a download limit. Sharing works for individual files only. Folders cannot be shared.

How do I stop sharing?

Press Remove link on the Shared links screen in the left menu, or in the file's share window, and the link stops working. Links that have passed their expiry or reached their download limit are blocked automatically. If you rename the original file or move it to another folder after creating a link, that link stops working too, so create a new link and send it again.

Can I use my stored files in chat?

Yes. In parallax.kr chat, open the file attach menu and choose Select from Storage to pick a file from your storage and attach it right away. Chat attachments can be up to 50MB per file.

If you need help

Open a support request, choose Storage as the service, and include the name, size and format of the file, what you were trying to do (upload, download, share and so on) and any error message you see. For a share link problem, also tell us when you created the link and the expiry and download limit you set.
