Upvotes, comments, notifications and edits after launch

Here are the most common questions once a launch is live.

In what order are launches shown?

The home page shows today's (UTC) launches, with the most upvoted first. Use the arrows next to the date to browse earlier days. The search at the top looks through the name, tagline, description and tags of every published launch.

How do I upvote?

While signed in, click the upvote button on a launch. You can upvote each launch once, and clicking again removes your upvote. Only published launches can be upvoted.

How do comments work?

• Comments open once the launch is live, and you need to be signed in.
• A comment can be up to 5,000 characters and supports Markdown.
• You can reply to a comment. Replies go one level deep.
• Comments written by the person who submitted the launch or by its makers carry a Maker label.
• You can remove your own comments with Delete. Comments cannot be edited, so to fix something, delete it and post again.

What notifications will I get?

When signed in, check the bell icon at the top. You are notified when:

• someone comments on your launch (replies included)
• someone replies to your comment
• your launch is about 24 hours from going live (if you booked with less than 24 hours to go, at the top of the next hour after booking)

Your own actions never notify you. A paid launch that has not been paid for does not get the pre-launch reminder.

Notifications appear only inside Launch and are not sent by email. The bell shows your unread count and refreshes every minute while the page is in view. Clicking a notification marks it as read and takes you to the launch or comment. If a comment is deleted, its notifications disappear too.

Can I edit a launch after it goes live?

Yes. Click Edit in My launches. Once live, these can no longer be changed:

• the product link, launch date and slot type
• the first comment, which has already been posted as the pinned comment and is no longer shown in the edit screen

You can still change the name, tagline, description, tags, makers, video, demo, promo, pricing, open source setting, X account and gallery. Renaming the launch keeps its public URL the same.

How do I delete a launch?

In My launches, click the trash icon on the launch and confirm.

• A deleted launch is hidden along with its upvotes and comments, and it cannot be restored.
• Paid slots are not refunded.
• Deleting a launch that is awaiting payment also closes its open checkout link.

My launch shows Hidden by admin

An administrator has hidden this launch after finding a problem such as spam. It is hidden from everyone else and visible only to you. If you would like to know why, or you disagree, please contact us.

How do I report a launch or comment?

There is no report button in Launch. Send us a support request with the launch address (launch.parallax.kr/p/...) and the comment in question, and we will look into it.

Troubleshooting

• My launch day has come but I cannot see it: launches go live at 00:00 UTC. Check the status in My launches. A paid launch showing Awaiting payment goes live only after the payment is completed.
• Upvoting or commenting sends me to the sign in page: these features need you to be signed in. After signing in you are returned to the page you were on.
• An image will not upload: make sure it is a JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, each file is 10 MB or less, and the gallery does not already hold 5 images.
• My requests are briefly blocked: too many requests in a short time can be limited temporarily. Please try again in a moment.
