Every date on Launch is in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Please check these rules before you pick a launch date.

When does my launch go live?

At 00:00 UTC on the day you booked. In Korea, that is 9 AM on the same date. Your first comment is posted as the pinned comment when the launch goes live.

Which dates can I pick?

Any day from tomorrow (UTC) up to 180 days from now. Today cannot be selected. Depending on your time zone, the UTC date can differ from your local date, so always go by the date shown on the calendar (UTC).

What is the difference between a free and a paid slot?

Free slotPaid slot
CostNone$30
Available daysDays with fewer than 20 scheduled launchesAny day, regardless of how many are scheduled
ConfirmedAs soon as you submitOnce the payment is confirmed
  • The 20 per day count includes both free and paid bookings. Days that are full are greyed out on the calendar and cannot be booked for free.
  • If several people pick the same day at almost the same moment, the later request may be declined. When you see This day is full, the calendar refreshes, so pick another date or switch to a paid slot.

How do I pay for a paid slot?

Click Schedule and pay $30 and you are taken to the Stripe checkout page. Payment is by card and is charged in US dollars (USD).

After paying, you return to Launch and see Confirming your payment. Once the payment is confirmed, usually within a few seconds, it changes to You are scheduled.

I closed the checkout or the payment failed

The launch stays in Awaiting payment. In this state the booking is not confirmed and the launch will not go live, even when the date arrives.

  • Click Pay now in My launches to pay again with a new checkout link. Creating a new link closes the previous one.
  • If you no longer want a paid slot, you can switch to a free slot in the edit screen and schedule it that way.

I paid but the launch is not scheduled

Click Refresh on the Confirming your payment screen. If My launches still shows Awaiting payment after a while, contact us as described in the help section below.

In rare cases, if the date you picked falls outside the bookable range while the payment is being confirmed, the launch goes back to Draft. Your payment stays on the launch, so picking a new date in the edit screen and scheduling it confirms the slot with no extra charge. While the payment is kept, the calendar shows Paid slot confirmed.

Can I change the date I booked?

Before the launch goes live (draft, awaiting payment or scheduled), click Edit in My launches to change the date and the slot type.

  • Moving a free slot to another day checks the 20 per day limit again for the new day.
  • A paid slot that is already paid for can be moved to any other day in the bookable range with no extra charge.
  • Once the launch is live, the date and slot type can no longer be changed.

What happens if I change the slot type?

  • From free to paid: if you have an unused paid slot payment on this launch, it is confirmed without paying again. Otherwise you are taken to checkout, the launch waits for payment until you finish, and the free spot you held is released.
  • From paid to free: the $30 you paid is forfeited. It is not refunded or moved to another launch, and picking a paid slot again later costs another $30. A Forfeit your paid slot? confirmation appears before the switch.

Are paid slots refundable?

Paid slots are not refunded. This includes when:

  • you switch a paid slot to a free slot
  • you delete the launch (before or after it goes live)

That said, if you suspect a billing error, such as being charged twice for the same launch, we will review it under our refund policy.

If you need help

Open a support request, choose Launch as the service, and include:

  1. The email of the account you signed in with
  2. The launch name or product link
  3. The launch date you picked (UTC)
  4. For payment questions, the payment date and amount and the payment number on your receipt

Never include your full card number. If needed, the last 4 digits are enough.
